In a bid to encourage women and men from all walks of life to make a positive difference, Worship Harvest Ministries is set to recognize and honor individuals whose achievements, contributions and leadership have made a significant impact on their community.

The Award for Community Transformation (ACT) is handed out annually to individuals whose achievements go beyond success in their personal and professional lives, and whose influence benefits their communities.

The awards are the climax of Transform, a leaders gathering scheduled for 6th-7th September, 2019.

“Everything rises and falls on leadership and that is why we are dedicated to equipping leaders to transform their communities. This can only be achieved by people understanding how much influence they already have and how they can multiply it to effect change,”Worship Harvest says of the event.

The public can submit nominations for The Award for Community Transformation (ACT) until midnight August 15th August 2019.

“This is an opportunity for you to nominate anyone you feel is doing transformative work in their communities. The transformation is judged based on our Mission of “catalyzing spiritual, social and economic renewal in our immediate communities and as a result, the world.”” the Ministry says.

Adding: “In order for your nomination to stand out against the many others we receive, providing a clear explanation and including evidence and clear examples of what makes your nominee so exceptional will strengthen your nomination.”

Last year, Worship Harvest accorded Rev Diana Nkesiga an award for her effort in the fight against cancer in Uganda.

The winner receives the ACT (plaque), a certificate of recognition and a cash prize of UGX 3,000,000. Second place receives the certificate and a cash prize of UGX 2,000,000. Third place receives the certificate and a cash prize of UGX 1,000,000.
