Ap Dr Wilson E Kulaba, the founder and senior Pastor of Jubilee Christian Life Church International has urged Christians not to slip into mediocrity by choosing to live “just like everybody else.”

He said too many Christians are more concerned about moving with the crowd than pursuing God’s unique dream and purpose for their lives.

Apostle Wilson made these remarks while delivering his sermon on 20 January, 2019.

Citing Numbers 13 and 14, the preacher said the story of Caleb’s great courage and his display of a “different spirit” before God is a great testament to the character Christians should have.

Caleb, in the Old Testament, was one of the spies sent by Moses from Kadesh in southern Palestine to spy out the land of Canaan. Only him and Joshua advised the Hebrews to proceed immediately to take the land; for his faith, Caleb was rewarded.

“But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it” (Numbers 14:24, NIV).

For whatsoever Christians hope to achieve, Apostle Wilson said the steadfastness of Caleb’s commitment to God should be an evident example of why they should seek to stand out.

“Caleb was not caught up in the crowd. He understood that he had a purpose and a dream that drives him every single day. In life, don’t be caught up in the population. You are not part of the additional number,” Apostle Wilson Kulaba said.

“Even when you go to church, you are not just adding a number. You are here, because there is a different spirit within you and you must posses that because that is the character that God wants you to have,” he explained.

“Do not settle until you are there, do not allow anything to pull you back until you arrive at God’s destination. Don’t create a life that is average, that is not what God called you to. God called you to be a generation changer. God calls you to put a stop to a negative environment that many people have created,” he continued.

“Don’t desire to be like everybody. Desire to stand out because the spirit of God is upon you. May God help you stand out so that you will be unique in what you pursue and the results that you produce will be different from the ordinary man,” he added.

Ap Wilson noted that when he identifies somebody who inspired a whole generation, he wants to stick and understand what their secret was.

“What did they do to stand out. That is what is important in life, you learn from those that have made it,” he said.

He urged Christians to look at challenges as opportunities, and utilize them to become their best weapon to fight into the future.

“Not once have I heard a peak performer speak of an end to challenge, excitement, curiosity and wonder. Quite the contrary. One of their most engaging characteristics is an infectious talent for moving into the future, generating new challenges, living with a sense of more work to be done,” he said.
