Church leaders joined Christians from all walks of life on Thursday to celebrate 10 years since Andrew Wommack Ministries opened its doors in Kampala, Uganda.

The event was also used as a platform to celebrate Charis Bible College, which rolled out just about the same time as Andrew Wommack Ministries Uganda (AWMU).

While AWMU spreads Pastor Andrew Wommack’s teaching materials within the country, Charis Bible College goes one step further with discipleship, according to the ministry.

As a Christian college, Charis is able to provide either an in-person classroom setting or online classes.

Officials from Andrew Wommack Ministries Uganda said in an update shared online the 10th anniversary marked “the beginning of a season of celebrations, commemorating this great ministry in Uganda.”

“We were blessed to have the great pioneers of Andrew Wommack ministries and Charis Bible College. It was an honor to have them share their experiences in God through the stages of making sure the gospel goes as far and deep as possible,” the statement reads.

Church leaders present included Bishop Herbert Kiwanuka of Glory of Christ Church and Bishop David Tomusange of Fountain of Life Ministries.

“They joined the Charis family to reminisce on the humble beginnings that have since sprouted and grown into what we see today. They both shared the revelation of the grace message and the resistance they encountered, as young ministers of the gospel at the time,” the statement reads.

It continues, “We were reminded that our God can do anything and that the purpose of God in Christ is to destroy all the works of the enemy as He enabled them to stand and thrive. The testimonies shared in the course of these celebrations are expected to reveal the victories the ministry has enjoyed in preaching and establishing the gospel of Grace.”

“And while the commemoration reminded us of how far we have come in understanding the mysteries of the gospel hidden in the Love of God, we have been reminded of the mandate we have – to disciple nations. This is a deep truth: That nations of the world get hungrier for God every day, and the harvest is bountiful, but are the harvesters readily available? We are persuaded that AWM and CBC are at the helm of these answers even as we carry this most peculiar burden of taking the gospel of Gods unconditional love and grace far and deep,” the statement reads.
