Apostle Moses Mukisa, the founding pastor of Worship Harvest Church in Uganda, which has several campuses across the country, has expressed gratitude to God following his recovery from Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“Thank You LORD for healing me from Covid! GRATEFUL,” he said, in a brief update Wednesday.

The apostle has however not yet revealed when he tested positive for the virus or if his symptoms were so severe.

Many social media users responded to the development with joy, quoting several scriptures on healing.

“His Hand is not too short to save. We bless the Lord,” one Christian remarked. “

“Glory to God. God is Good, Merciful and Gracious,” another said.

It should be noted that Uganda recently reported a sharp increase (17.2% test positive rate) in COVID-19 cases, forcing its health officials to take stern emergency measures, some of which will be communicated by the Head of State 5th, June, 2021.

From less than 100 cases per day in April, the nation is now recording over 700 cases per day amid a looming vaccine shortage.

As of 3rd June, 2021, a total of 47,760 recoveries and 365 deaths have been registered in the nation since the outbreak was declared in March 2020.

“The death is low by world standards, but we don’t want anyone to die of this avoidable disease,” Museveni said.

“The situation is not too bad if we really wake up,” he added.

Uganda received 964,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX facility in March this year, with 100,000 doses coming from India. Since March 10, about 677,000 people have been vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
