Pastor Jackson Senyonga of Christian Life Church discloses ‘5 climates of experiencing intimacy with God’.

Through his sermon titled “A moment of God’s power”, he reveals that growth in a Christian relates to Humility.

“Humility is a very good climate in which intimacy can grow. Every time you’re humble, you’re asking God to pour more in your life. Humility is important and a necessity. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).”

The biological father of 3 reveals that when a Christian is humble, he/she attracts heaven.

Additionally, while many believers find emptiness hard to cope up with, Pr Senyonga teaches that intimacy with God also starts from such a place as emptiness.

As a young star, Senyonga was abandoned by his mother at three months of age. His father was murdered by the brutal henchmen of Idi Amin. By the time he accepted Christ, he had shared the lows of life each and everyday.

“The only way God would fill you is when He finds you empty. The requirement of being filled is finding you wanting or desiring to.” He says.

The preacher emphasizes that there is no way God will ever fill your cup if it’s already full.

“The time you consider yourself as having apprehended, there will be no way God will ever give you an added blessing. That’s why I recommend that whenever you feel empty, down, thirsty and hungry in your spirit, run to the house of God rather than staying in your house.”

“The devil may sometimes make you to feel like you’re undeserving. Sometimes we get empty because of what we’re facing while at other times we make wrong decisions and do wrong things that empty us.”

“What satan does is to condemn you of the way you sinned, the way you didn’t read the bible or fellowship. But every time you feel dry like that, you should be the first to go to the house of God,” He urges. “The house of God is meant for those who’re empty, undeserving, unloved, the unsuccessful etc. You can stand and get over all these in God’s presence. The bible says “even the bruised reed, He’ll not crush” (Isaiah 42:3). When you lift your cup, God will fill it.”
