Even in life’s darkest valleys, a small flame can light the way toward healing and hope. That’s the gospel of God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness, the third iteration of the faith-based franchise. Pure Flix on 19 December released a teaser trailer for the film and set a March 30 release date. Check out the video above.

The inspirational drama centers on Pastor Dave (producer David A.R. White) and the unimaginable tragedy he endures after a deadly fire rips through his St. James Church at Hadleigh University. School leaders use the tragedy to push the congregation off campus, forcing the church to defend its rights and bringing together estranged brothers for a reunion that opens old wounds and forces them to address the issues that pulled them apart.

John Corbett plays Pastor Dave’s brother, attorney and atheist Pierce, and the cast also includes Jennifer Taylor, Shane Harper, Ted McGinley and Tatum O’Neal.

The original God’s Not Dead was a huge moneymaker in 2014, grossing nearly $65M worldwide on a $2M budget. Its 2016 sequel banked $24.5M.

God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness is directed by Michael Mason and produced by White, Michael Scott, Brittany Yost, Elizabeth Travis and Alysoun Wolfe. The executive producers are Troy Duhon and Robert Katz.
