Gospel musician Sam Lucas Lubyogo better known as Levixone has on Tuesday set in motion a charity drive aimed at feed 10,000 refugees in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement – Kyegegwa District this Christmas.

Levixone who is also the co-founder of 92hands, a youth movement that moblizes youths to cause the change they wish to see in their communities, stated that people living in refugee settlement camps are some of the most excluded and forgotten groups of people in the world.

“We will reach out to more vulnerable women and children and help them rise above their circumstances as we have done for thousands around urban city slums,” reads a statement from 92hands.

For over 6 years now, Levixone has worked together with Emmanuel Nsabaanye (Trinity) who is also a co-founder of 92hands to reach out to the vulnerable people in remote areas and supply Christmas packages, through the Feed Kosovo program.

Beyond The Meals

According to the duo, the charity drive “is not just a project that we tuck in as the year comes to an end.”

“This is only the beginning to a fulfilling journey to consistently empower people living in refugee camps. We’ve proven that our projects and systems work. We will reach out to more vulnerable women and children and help them rise above their circumstances as we have done for thousands around urban city slums,” they said.
