You’re called to be faithful, regardless of church size

Eager to blend in with secular culture instead of focusing on biblical discipleship?

Cyrus Rod, the lead pastor of Dominion Faith Church, urges that faithfulness in ministry is not a function of church size.

In an update on Tuesday, the author, broadcaster and marriage counselor explained why Christian leaders should not be obsessed with ‘numbers and titles’ but instead get excited about Christ knowing them, and standing strong in their role regardless of where God leads them.

“It’s not the size of the congregation, the titles before a name, the television and radio appearance, the community status, the number of books you have written or the education acquired that counts,” he said.

“In the end what counts is how you live, not what you preach, teach or who you reach,” he asserted.

According to Pastor Cyrus Rod, without walking the talk, any preacher is just “another figurehead of fame.”

“We are too hungry for accolades that we forget to live the life we were called for. The world may never know you but if you live the life, Christ knows you and that counts eternally,” he said.
